Alphabotz Superphonic Decoder Cards Review
TOP SECRET WARNING: Learning May Occur While Having FUN!
Alphabotz Superphonic Decoder Cards were designed by a teacher and parent, taking the abstract concept of learning letters, sounds and words and associating them with adorable characters to make learning to read a fun experience.
When I received a box of these flash cards, I knew they were different from any other flash cards I’d ever seen. The letters of the alphabet are represented by a robot friend, the Alphabotz. Each of the Alphabotz has his or her own home, best friend, special ability, and other characteristics. They all relate to the Alphabotz’ letter, and help children learn that letters equal sounds, sounds build words, and words tell amazing stories!
My girls love reciting the alphabet and went crazy over these cards. It didn’t surprise me…how could they resist these colorful and cute characters? We went through the cards with them, and they also ask too look at them on their own. Our favorite thing to do is to lay them out on the floor and play “I-Spy”. They are starting to associate the letters with sounds and words…I love how they are having such a great time while learning!
Here are some examples of the adorable and amazing Alphabotz!
A is for Albee, who is an Ant Farmer
B is for Boomer, who likes Baseball
C is for Coco, who cooks cupckes
And not only are there letters, but there are Alphabotz that represent sounds created by putting letters together. There are 50 cards in all!
SH is for Shep, who builds Ships
There are so many helpful suggestions on how to use these cards on the Alphabotz website to keep your child learning. Check out these fun downloads for your kids such as these coloring pages.
The Alphabotz Superphonic Decoder Cards are available for purchase for $19.95 (honestly, I thought they would cost more than that)! And be sure to sign up for their email newsletter to keep up with upcoming products featuring the Alphabotz.
Happy Learning!
