I attended Utah State University and studied Interior Design…and that is where I met my hubby. We have been married for 3 1/2 years. I am a SAHM with an adorable baby boy and little girl "dog" Bianca. I love chocolate chip cookies, blogging, the smell when it rains, watching chick flicks, rearranging my furniture, and talking on the phone with my sister. I recently learned how to shop with coupons and I have been addicted ever since. I never knew you could save so much money by using coupons!!! We love camping, stroller walks, country drives, and playing in the backyard. I have so much…I am blessed with such a beautiful family.

I am mommy to twin girls born in April 2007, and married to a wonderful husband since 2004. I am lucky to work part-time (as a data consultant), so I get two days free to spend with my sweet girls. It has been a joy watching them grow, learn, and interact with each other. Like all mothers of multiples, I often get the comment that my "hands are full." While this is definitely true, my heart is even fuller! When I have a few moments, I like crafting (jewelry, paper, and sewing). My parents both worked regular jobs like me, but they also have a creative side. I think that's where I got it from. And since I've started blogging a year ago, I rediscovered the joy in writing, something I haven't done since a college writing class. Most of all, I just love spending time with my husband and our little girls. I look forward to weekends when we're all together, exploring different parks, neighborhoods, and landmarks, or just having some low-key fun at home!

Wear the Earth sent me this great pair of pink Yoga Pants to review! Let me tell you that I LOVE lounge pants, so I knew that these would be perfect for me. When they arrived I quickly tried them on and…I was in heaven. They are super soft and super comfy. They fit me perfectly. They feature a loose drawstring waistband so I can make them bigger or smaller to my comfort, and did I mention how soft they are. I have even washed them a couple of times in cold and line dried them and they just get better and better with every wash. These are definitely my favorite pair of Yoga pants…..and I do plan to do my Yoga in the in January when we will be featuring a “Stay Fit At Home” week series!!! So stay tuned for that! I was so happy to receive my BabyBond Couture from BabyBond! By now, you all know how I feel about nursing in public, I avoid it at all costs and am constantly on the lookout for a good product to help me feel more comfortable when it becomes necessary. I was so excited to try out the BabyBond! I chose the BabyBond Couture because it can be worn as a sash to function like a nursing top, or it can be worn like a belt, covering from your bra to your hips, like a belly band. The flexibility of wearing it in either position makes it so versatile and works with your entire wardrobe! So many of my shirts I have to pull up in order to nurse, exposing my sides, back, and belly, so I knew the Couture would be the perfect fit for me! I use it mostly as a belly band, but have occasionally been able to use it as a sash to nurse when I am wearing one of my nursing tops. Both ways are super comfortable and simple. It is made of super soft fabric and the wearing instructions are sewn into the BabyBond, so convenient. What would I give to go back in time and live in the simpler times! I would love to be a 50’s housewife. I would love to spend my day cooking, sewing, gardening, knitting, and doing all the domestic things a 50’s housewife did. That is partly why I decided to do my degree in college in Home and Family Living. I want to be the best mom and wife I can be. Honestly, a life in pearls, heels, and an apron sounds great to me.

Now I realize that not all women would agree with what I just said. In fact I am sure some of you are thinking, “That lady is nuts!” Perhaps their are even some of you that want nothing to do with the domestic side of things. But I bet all of you love a good apron! Maybe you wouldn’t wear it all day. Maybe you wouldn’t wear it every time you make something in the kitchen. But admit it…if you are going to do domestic things wouldn’t you like to do them in style!?

Flirty Aprons is one of my favorite apron stores ever! I am lucky enough to have them in my local mall. I stop by every time I pass. In fact sometimes my husband has to grab my hand and pull me past. Kidorable Umbrella Giveaway

Since 1997, Kidorable has been creating fun and functional children’s apparel and accessories that spark the imagination and that are just plain fun and adorable! We received two Kidorable umbrellas…one was the Frog and the other was the Ladybug. I put them in the car, just in case it rained. And one day when we were out, it started to drizzle. Oh my, were my girls excited when the umbrellas opened! They immediately exclaimed “Frog!” and “Ladybug!” I fell in love with umbrellas’ cuteness also, especially their big bright eyes! At first my husband and I each held an umbrella for our girls as they are still on the littler side, but eventually they wanted to hold them too. It was probably the most fun rainy day ever.

The umbrellas were easy to open and to close, there’s a red button to release it, which I think is much gentler on your thumbs than other umbrellas I’ve had. And I was happy to read that the umbrellas, as well as the other products by Kidorable, are regularly tested for lead, phtalates and other toxic chemicals and exceed product safety standards.

The umbrellas come in several other themes for boys and girls. And for every theme, there’s an entire product line! Wow! I though that was a really cool concept. Each theme includes an umbrella, rain boots, rain coat, hangers, hat, scarf, gloves, towel, backpack, and more.

Macy’s is adding to the spirit of “Believe” with a national Santa Tour, an honorary National Believe Day, a “Yes, Virginia” animated special, and a new TV commercial featuring Queen Latifah.

The nostalgic holiday campaign was inspired by the New York Sun’s famous “Yes, Virginia, there is a Santa Claus” editorial from 1897 and includes letter-writing “Believe Stations” in Macy’s stores across the country. For each letter received, Macy’s will donate $1 to the Make-A-Wish Foundation, up to $1 million.

Hey what’s that last thing? Empty space? Yes, there’s even a bit of room to spare!

Mrs. Rachael Smith designed this diaper bag to hold a lot and keep it all within reach, after a harrowing day at the airport with her two small children. The bag is divided into two levels, one on top of the other. The top level closes with two side zippers and a flap with ample Velcro so that if you pack even more in, you can still close it instead of having the flap stick straight up and risk everything falling out. There are other easy-access features such as a key fob on the inside and outside, two Velcro compartments on the outside for your cell phone, and a mesh pocket for your water bottle too.

The bottom level has this amazing removable drawer to keep all your little things organized. No more digging to the deepest depths of the ocean to find their little dollies or their spoons or their crayons.

The most surprising thing to me was that even when it was full of stuff, it didn’t feel heavy at all! The strap was so comfortable to wear on my shoulder or across my body. The strap was also easily adjustable…I wore it so I kept the strap long, but could quickly shorten it to hang on my stroller. Plus you can change the straps to wear as a backpack, which is great for holding two hands at once.

I was sent the Baby Christmas and Baby Christmas 2 Albums from Lovely Baby Music. I had read over the website and all the positive effects this type of music can have on children and couldn’t wait to have my kids give them a listen! We love music and usually have it playing in the house throughout the day. With Christmas right around the corner, I was definitely ready for some holiday music to get the family in the Christmas spirit, especially the kids! When the CD’s first arrived I put them out in the car. It seemed that the kids liked them, I could hear the baby cooing in the background and Ava just listened intently. The music is full of so many different sounds, and no vocals. It is very different than anything I have heard before. Then we brought the CDs inside and played them while we did our normal routines around the house. The cd's are actually very relaxing and both kids seemed to be so calm. My 3 month old laid on the floor and cooed along {he is such a happy boy!}. Of course, Ava had to dance to several of the songs and every time she heard a baby coo in the music she would get all excited and had to tell me all about it! She also told me “pretty music, mommy.” I love that she is getting to a point where she can really express how she is feeling to me and can just tell me what she thinks! That one little phrase said it all to me, she really likes it! We will most definitely be listening to this throughout the holiday season! I know when I am playing it for my children, not only are we having fun, but I am also doing something good for them!

Folica sent me the Amika Triple Barrel Pro-Curler Set to review. I was in desperate need of a good curling iron and this gave me a 3-in-1 option which I {heart}. I found the barrels super easy to switch out when I wanted a smaller or larger curl size. I love that I only have to have one curling iron in the drawer now.

This set contains tourmaline which is a natural source of negative ions and far infrared heat, which provides faster styling. And as a busy mom I definitely need faster styling. It heats up super quick at under 60 seconds and it’s ready to curl. I love that it does not have a clip when curling as it didn’t snag my hair like my old curling iron does. But I have to say it will take a lot more practice to use it quickly. It came with a heat resistant glove to help me style my hair since it does not have a clip to hold the hair. This glove was a big help to keep me from burning my fingers. It did take a few days practice to get the hang of it as it is not a traditional curling iron, but day by day I am getting faster at using it and I {heart} the results. Gorgeous, bouncy curls! I was super excited to try out the Momzelle warm v-neck top {black}! When I first was looking over the top, I was impressed with the soft, stretchy material it is made out of. It is perfect for any nursing mama. With the stretch, I know it will still fit nicely even after dropping a few of those pesky pregnancy pounds. The fit of the top is so perfect, It’s very tailored and can be worn casually by day or dressed up for an evening out! So versatile! I am about 5 foot 10, so, when purchasing another top, I will probably go with the “long” version,it’s about three inches longer in the body. I am a girl that loves a long fit, so I think it’s really wonderful they have given us that option! I am adding more of the Momzelle nursing tops to my Christmas wish list…one is definitely not enough! I can see myself wearing these tops even when I am not nursing, they really are perfect!

Nursing in public is not my favorite thing and honestly, I am not very good at it! I am not a super modest person, but most of the time I am wearing t-shirts or camis that have to be pulled up to nurse. I always feel like my sides and back are so exposed and I tend to slouch a bit when nursing which can reveal an even more unflattering view of that post baby belly that is just not cute! So most of the time our outings are planned around when the baby was last fed and on making it home in time for his next feeding to avoid the stress of it all.Not anymore! What is it about cleaning the bathroom that you hate? For me it isn’t the leaning into the tub while on my knees to clean the dang thing. It isn’t scrubbing the toilet…although once I did ruin my favorite pair of jeans when the toilet cleaner with bleach splashed out. It isn’t having to remove everything off the counter, cleaning it, and putting it all back on. It is the fact that the fumes make me gag.

I hate spraying down the tub with cleaner because it has to sit for a few seconds before scrubbing it down. During those few seconds I am gagging on the fumes that are burning my lungs. Even if I walk away while it sits, when I come back in it is like walking into a gas chamber. Listen to this--“a report by the EPA to Congress determined household cleaners three times more likely to cause cancer than outdoor air pollution.” I also read this, “newborn infants have trace levels of toxic chemicals in their bodies, passed on by their mother’s exposure.” As someone who will be a house cleaning momma one day, I need to start thinking about the gas chambers I am now bringing into my home so my babies can be healthier.

When I googled it to find the website, I found it…were there any ingredients on the website? NOPE! What are they hiding? Next, I went and got our “CLR Bath and Kitchen Cleaner.” Ingredient list on bottle? Negative. Couldn’t find an ingredient list listed on their website either. After googleing for the MSDS (material safety data sheet) I saw “Propylene Glycol Normal Butyl Ether” is one of the ingredients. NASTY CHEMICALS! No wonder I gag when cleaning. ---May cause vomiting, kidney damage, impaired perception…DEATH---- I clean my kitchen with this!
